September 13, 2000 NEWS FROM THE WEB FRONT I'm currently working on adding the 2000 Rule Book to the site. I know the season is almost over, but I thought this would give me a chance to get any feedback from you, and plus it will be a big head start on the 2001 Rule Book. As the 2001 race season evolves, I will be putting the race schedule together as new races are confirmed. Tentatively, there will be four races at Illiana Motor Speedway (One being a National Event), one at Toledo Speedway the same weekend as an ARCA race, another National Event at Owosso Speedway and one at Spartan Speedway. These are all unconfirmed, and should not be taken as the facts. I sometimes get the inside scoop by overhearing rumblings in the office, but until they come to me and tell me this is fact, just take it as rumors from the Web! That's all for now. If anyone has any suggestions for the web site, please send me an email with your ideas. Keep checking the page throughout the off-season to keep updated on any news. John |

September 11, 2000 Congratulations to Morgan Keil for winning the 35 lap feature at Owosso Speedway on September 9th. Morgan has now won 4 of our last 5 races. Also congratulations to Ryan Vos for winning a very exciting 4 car dash and Tony Sommer for winning the Australian pursuit race. Updated are the Michigan Legacy points with one race to go. Jon Arendsen has locked in his second Legacy car championship in a row. Congratulations Jon! Morgan Keil who has been on a major hot streak during the last third of the season, has locked up second place in the points standings. Ed Rodgers has only to start our last race at Auto City to clinch third position in points and Rookie of the Year honors. Neil McClelland could bump Gary Floate from fourth in points if he can finish at Auto City at least 7 positions ahead of Gary. However, Neil is only 6 points ahead of Tony Sommer in sixth, so positions 4,5 and 6 hinge on doing well at Auto City. If Jerry Middleton, currently in 9 th position, can finish three positions ahead of Bucky Szalkowski, he could take over Bucky's 8th position. There is only four points separating Justin Switzer, currently 11th , and Sarah Schaub, currently 12th. So, whoever does best at Auto City gets the 11th position. Jim Harrison will be the CompCar official at Auto City as I will not be in attendance. I will see you all at the next race in Martinsville, VA. or the banquet. Good luck to all of the drivers still fighting for position. There are no great riches for these accomplishments, but certainly a lot of pride! Dick |

We are glad you took the time to stop by and visit our site. The site is currently pretty "plain Jane", but over the next few months and during the off season, we will continue to improve the look and content of this site. We will be mainly focusing on keeping the points standings, schedule, news and our fans up to date. We have lots of plans for this site, but they will take time to implement, so keep coming back to see what has changed! |
